La Tele - Channel 68 Venezuela hosts international TV and film actress Miss Ruddy Rodriguez in a 1-hour show on The Way to Happiness Foundation Venezuela

The Way to Happiness Foundation Venezuela was the topic of discussion of the one-hour television show, “Conóceme” translated as “Meet us” on La Tele & Channel 68 in Caracas Venezuela on Monday, July 16, 2007. The Host of the show, Jesus Rivero Bertorelli, spent the morning interviewing Audrey Cabrerra and Ruddy Rodriguez, the co-founders of the Foundation. Miss Rodriguez is an international television and film actress and won the title of Miss Venezuela in 1985. The Venezuelan Foundation team has delivered over 1 million copies of The Way to Happiness ® book in Venezuela.
This Venezuelan T.V channel has satellite coverage on Direct TV on an international level. It also has coverage with the most important cable networks of the country, such as Supercable, Intercable and Net Uno. It reaches all of Latin America and at this moment has rates as the second most watched channel in Venezuela.
The show began with a 6-minute video explaining what The Way to Happiness is and how it is used to help people live happy successful lives while eliminating social maladies such as drugs, crime and intolerance.
Throughout the one-hour show, 8 of the new Public Service Announcements were shown highlighting the following chapters in the book: Take Care of Yourself, Love and Help Children, Honour and Help Your Parents, Set a Good Example, Don’t Harm a Person of Goodwill, Be Competent, Be Worthy of Trust and Flourish & Prosper.
The Way to Happiness Foundation Venezuela is delivering seminars and programs throughout the Institute of Venezuelan Social Services (IVSS) which includes over 80 hospitals, 40 IVSS Regional Offices, universities and summer camps for the children of IVSS employees. Ten thousand teachers will also be introduced to The Way to Happiness through the Foundation’s outreach programs.
Dr: Ashley Vivas of the Dr. Domingo Luciani Hospital was introduced as a guest on the show and discussed his work with the foundation in his workplace. Dr. Ashley said, “The Foundation has been a great experience in that it has provided guidelines to assume the correct attitudes and reach happiness through the application of the 21 rules in The Way to Happiness book.” He said he felt very fortunate to have these tools to work with the people in the hospital and be able to help others.
He particularly emphasized the precept: “Try not to treat others as you wouldn’t like them to treat you”, and how this concept is sometimes ignored. He said that this precept was key in these times and that it is always important to treat all people, not only patients, well. He expressed that the Foundation has a very important role in society.

The host of the show then introduced Olivia Loreto, a Bio-Analyst from the Dr. Domingo Luciani Hospital. She explained how the hospital personnel who received the seminar had formed “The Way to Happiness Facilitators Club.” The Facilitator’s Club distribute The Way to Happiness and are concentrating in reaching all of society with The Way to Happiness. Copies of the book are distributed to all connected with the hospital such as patients, employees and those involved in community programs run by the hospital. Ms. Loreto stated her view that if The Way to Happiness were to be distributed by all the institutions and to all of the community in general we would see a great positive impact in society.
Then Marcos Godoy, President of La Campiña Neighborhood Association spoke. He shared his story of how the police and the members of the community were very distrustful of each other. By working with The Way to Happiness, they were able to restore good relations between the police and the community. He stated that The Way to Happiness had particularly helped the metropolitan police officials who now use it to confront their everyday tasks.
Luis Colmenares, a high school student, participated in The Way to Happiness Program in the I.V.S.S Camp 2006. He shared how the 750 kids that participated in the camp program discovered how much fun it was to implement the precepts with games. He expressed the importance of restoring moral values which are getting lost in this society through the adverse affects of drugs, crime, etc. and he emphasized how the role of the Foundation is very important.

Host Jesus Rivero Bertorelli then turned his attention to Ana Núñez, a school teacher and Executive Secretary of the Foundation. Ana shared how she and Mr. Jose Luis were in charge of creating The Way to Happiness educational programs and activities for Venezuela. She explained what a great job was done with the Moral Values Educational Program in 310 schools in the city of Mérida where The Way to Happiness seminars were delivered to 3,100 school teachers from primary, elementary and high schools. The work focused on restoring moral values through the influence of the teachers. She expressed that even if the teachers could teach Mathematics, they needed to know about moral values above all else. She shared a story of how, in one particular school, a teacher said that this program is what they needed and that she was so thankful that they finally found the answer they needed.
The program was scheduled for 50 minutes, but due to all of the material and testimonials, the program was extended by 7 minutes to accommodate all of it!
The Foundation Distributed 60 copies of The Way to Happiness books to all of the employees at the Channel 68 studios as well as a copy of the DVD with the new Public Service Announcements. Then the employees said that they wanted a The Way to Happiness seminar which is now being scheduled.
